The Cisco Meraki vMX Medium is a cloud-managed virtual MX security appliance that extends your Meraki SD-WAN fabric into public and private clouds. The license lets you deploy a vMX instance in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud and connect cloud workloads to your branches with Meraki Auto VPN, all managed from the same Meraki dashboard as your physical MX appliances.
Key Features
The vMX Medium is sized for mid-size cloud deployments that connect many branch sites or carry more traffic than the vMX Small. It supports site-to-site Auto VPN in full-mesh or hub-and-spoke topologies, so cloud-hosted applications reach every Meraki site over encrypted tunnels with SD-WAN path selection.
Security & Management
Like every Meraki product, the vMX is fully cloud-managed, with automatic firmware updates, a stateful firewall and centralized visibility across your network. Configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting all happen in the Meraki dashboard.
License Details
This is a subscription license for the Meraki vMX Medium virtual appliance, available in 1-, 3- and 5-year terms. A valid license is required to run the vMX instance and use Meraki cloud management.
