The Meraki MS130-8X is a compact multigigabit switch: six Gigabit ports plus two 2.5 Gbps mGig ports, all with PoE+, and two 10G SFP+ uplinks.
The 2.5G ports are for newer Wi-Fi access points whose uplinks need more than 1 Gbps, and the 10G uplinks keep the path back to the core from becoming the bottleneck. Its 120 W PoE budget runs four devices at the full 30 W. It fits on a desk or a wall and ships with an external power supply; unlike the fanless 8-port models, it has an internal fan.

Licensing and warranty
Needs a Meraki MS130 compact license, sold separately: Enterprise (LIC-MS130-CMPT) or Advanced (LIC-MS130-CMPTA). Under Cisco's newer subscription model the equivalent tier is MS100 Small, Essentials or Advantage. Meraki covers MS130 switches with a lifetime hardware warranty. Managed entirely from the Meraki dashboard, with zero-touch provisioning and automatic firmware upgrades.
